Heavenly Parents

Heavenly Parent

When the stars fade softly into the night,
And the world feels dim without their light,
I think of you, my parents dear,
Though you're not beside me, you are near.

Your laughter echoes in the breeze,
Your love still whispers through the trees,
In every shadow, in many things,
I see the trace, the soul of you.

Though time may steal your hands from mine,
And distance draws a fragile line,
Your spirit dances in my dreams,
A guiding light, or so it seems.

For love is woven, thread by thread,
Through memories of words once said,
Though you have journeyed far apart,
You live forever in my heart.

So, I will carry you through the years,
Through joy, through sorrow, through silent tears,
And though the earth may keep us apart,
You'll always beat within my heart.
